Where timeless design meets practical performance

Venetian blinds – delivering beautifully versatile light control throughout your home

Our venetian blinds are a classic option which give you complete control over light and privacy with adjustable slats that tilt to your exact preference. Perfect for Brisbane southside homes, these practical window coverings suit any room where you need flexibility, from bedrooms requiring darkness to living areas where you want to redirect harsh afternoon sun without losing your view.

We’ve been installing quality venetian blinds in homes across the region since 1992, and every set is uniquely custom-made to fit your window dimensions precisely. Whether you’re drawn to the warmth of a woodlook, the durability of aluminium, or the sleek profile of micro slats, we’ll help you choose what works best for your home and how you live within it.

Woodlook venetian blinds

Woodlook venetians bring classic elegance to any room without the maintenance concerns of genuine timber. This UV-stable synthetic product is custom-made locally to suit your exact requirements.

Our woodlook venetians are virtually maintenance-free and won’t warp, or fade in Brisbane’s humidity like traditional timber can. Available in four sophisticated colours, White, Pearl and Oyster, with slat sizes of 50mm or 63mm to suit your windows and ceiling height.

These wider slats make a statement in rooms with large windows or high ceilings, and they’re wonderfully effective at blocking heat when tilted correctly. Unlike most synthetic venetians, our woodlook can be made to suit windows up to 2700mm wide, giving you options where other products simply can’t deliver.

Aluminium venetian blinds

They’re a hard-working yet attractive option that delivers reliable performance year after year.

These venetians suit kitchens, bathrooms, and laundries where moisture is a concern. A bonus for smaller spaces is that the slimmer profile means they take up minimal space when fully raised.

Available in a range of contemporary colours, aluminium venetians complement modern interiors beautifully while providing excellent light control and privacy at a price point that works for most budgets.

Micro venetian blinds (16mm)

The ultra-slim 16mm slats create a refined, minimalist look that’s perfect for contemporary homes and smaller windows where larger slats can feel overwhelming. When raised, they practically disappear.

These compact venetians are particularly popular for windows in home offices and modern kitchens, where you want clean lines and unobtrusive window treatments that don’t compete with your interior design. The narrow slats allow for incredibly precise light control.

Slimline venetian blinds (25mm)

The 25mm slat strikes the perfect balance between the elegance of wider slats and the sleek profile of micro options. This versatile size works across most room types and window configurations.

Slimline venetians are the most popular choice for bedrooms and living areas because they provide excellent coverage without looking bulky, and the slat width offers good light control while maintaining visibility when partially tilted.

These indoor venetian blinds adapt to both traditional and contemporary interiors, making them a safe choice when you’re unsure which style direction to take or when fitting out rental properties.

Venetian blinds: frequently asked questions

What's the difference between woodlook and aluminium venetians?

Woodlook venetians offer a warm, natural aesthetic that’s ideal for living areas and bedrooms. This UV-stable synthetic product won’t warp in Brisbane’s humidity and handles wider windows up to 2700mm. Aluminium venetians are lighter, more moisture-resistant, and easier to clean, making them perfect for kitchens and bathrooms. Aluminium typically costs less, while woodlook provides better insulation and a more premium look.

What slat size is best for my windows?

Micro 16mm slats suit small windows and modern interiors where you want minimal visual impact. Slimline 25mm slats work across most rooms and window sizes. Wider 50mm and 63mm woodlook slats make a statement on large windows and high ceilings. Smaller rooms benefit from narrower slats, while larger windows can carry wider slats without looking cluttered.

How do I clean my venetian blinds?

Regular dusting with a microfibre cloth keeps slats clean between deeper cleans. For thorough cleaning, close the slats and wipe each side with a damp cloth, working from top to bottom. Aluminium handles more moisture, while woodlook should be wiped with a barely damp cloth. Mild detergent works for stubborn grime, but avoid harsh chemicals.

Can venetian blinds be repaired?

Broken cords, chains, and individual damaged slats can usually be replaced without affecting the rest of the blind. Stiff tilting mechanisms often just need cleaning or minor adjustment. However, we don’t offer repair services as we focus on quality new installations. For repairs, contact a specialist blind repair service in your area.

What's the lifespan of venetian blinds?

Quality venetian blinds typically last 10-15 years with proper care. Aluminium and woodlook venetians both resist Brisbane’s humidity well and maintain their appearance with minimal maintenance. West-facing windows expose blinds to harsher sun, which can fade colours faster. The operating mechanisms usually need attention before the slats wear out, so quality components and professional installation matter.

Are venetian blinds suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?

Aluminium venetians are excellent for kitchens and bathrooms as they handle moisture and steam without warping, and wipe clean easily. Woodlook venetians are more moisture-resistant than traditional timber but work best in moderate-humidity areas rather than high-steam bathrooms or directly above cooktops. For bathrooms with windows facing neighbours, venetians provide adjustable privacy while still allowing natural light.
