Heavy Duty Side Channel

Our most popular patio blinds, the Heavy Duty Side Channel Blinds feature a unique one-piece side channel extrusion for easy, safe operation and extra strength. You get a large range of Australian-made sunscreen and acrylic fabrics to choose from, with control options including manual gear and full motorisation. All channels and base rails can be custom coloured to match your home’s exterior, and we can add multiple lock-off points for extra security and flexibility. These blinds are perfect for larger openings where you need reliable, long-lasting protection from the elements.

Guide Wire

Guided Wire outdoor blinds are an excellent choice for exposed outdoor areas or alfresco zones where no posts are available. They use gear or motorised operation with stainless steel guide wires to direct and control the blind smoothly. Guide Wire blinds provide excellent stability even in windy conditions, as they can be fastened at the bottom using stainless steel clips or straps. Choose from a large selection of Australian-made fabrics, giving you the flexibility to choose the perfect blend of aesthetics, light control, privacy, and weather protection for your property.

Straight Drop

Straight Drop Blinds are your go-to solution for patios and decks where channels and guide wires aren’t practical, yet you still need solid protection from sun, wind, and rain. These blinds can be fixed in the down position using stainless steel dog-clips or straps, and we offer weather boxes or hoods in a wide range of powder-coated colours to match your home. The simple, clean lines of straight drop blinds work well with modern architectural styles while providing the functionality you need for comfortable outdoor living.

Rope & Pulley/Café Blinds

Café Blinds offer a basic but effective cord and pulley system perfect for weather protection. These bottom roll-up style blinds work brilliantly on raked roofs and feature high-grade, heavy-duty zippers on both sides for complete weather sealing (although you can also use them without zips). Choose from sunscreen fabrics, acrylic canvas, or the popular clear and tinted PVC options. Also known as Shop Drop blinds, these are an economical choice that doesn’t compromise on quality or durability, making them ideal for budget-conscious homeowners who still want reliable outdoor protection.

Spring Side Track

Spring Side Track blinds, also known as multi-stop blinds, are operated manually by the base rail with a spring motor that retracts and creates tension on the fabric. The base rail wedges between two side channels, giving you endless stop positions for precise control of light and privacy. These are ideal for smaller openings and add a stylish, simplistic touch to your patio or deck. Sunscreen fabrics work perfectly with this style, and while weather boxes are available, they’re not necessary for most installations. We can also custom colour-coat these blinds to suit your home and hue preferences.

What Our Thrilled Clients Say About Our Outdoor Blinds

Frequently Asked Questions About Outdoor Blinds

What's the difference between outdoor and indoor blinds?

Our outdoor blinds are designed specially to withstand harsh Queensland weather conditions like UV, wind, and rain. They use heavier-duty materials, weather-resistant components, and stronger mounting systems. Indoor blinds aren’t built for outdoor conditions and will deteriorate quickly if used outside, so always choose the right type of blinds for the external areas of your property.

How long do outdoor blinds typically last?

Quality outdoor blinds with proper installation typically last between 5-12 years, depending on fabric choice and exposure. Our Australian-made fabrics are specifically designed for Queensland’s intense UV conditions, which helps them to have a long life. Regular cleaning and occasional maintenance can often extend their life.

Can outdoor blinds be motorised?

Yes, absolutely. Most of our outdoor blind systems can be motorised for convenience and ease of use. Motorised blinds are particularly popular for larger installations or hard-to-reach areas, such as very high patio ceilings. We can discuss motorisation options during your free measure and quote to find the best product option(s) for your needs.

Which fabrics tend to work best for Brisbane's hot and humid climate?

From our experience, we’ve found that Australian-made sunscreen and acrylic fabrics perform best in Brisbane’s conditions. Sunscreen fabrics offer excellent UV protection while maintaining airflow, while acrylics provide top weather protection. Clear and tinted PVC options are popular for café-style blinds. We’ll recommend the best fabric based on your specific exposure and the way you plan to use the blinds.

Do you service my area?

We service up to 50km around our Capalaba base, covering areas south of the Brisbane River including Redland Bay, Mount Gravatt, Springwood, Cleveland, Wynnum, and Logan Village. If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, simply give us a call and we’ll let you know.

How much do outdoor blinds cost?

Outdoor blind costs vary significantly based on size, fabric choice, and control systems. Manual systems are more affordable, while motorised options increase the investment. We provide detailed quotes with no hidden costs during our free measure and quote service. The best approach is to have us assess your specific needs and then take a look at the accurate, honest pricing we provide, so you can see what will suit you best.
